Every regulatory, legal, cost or timeline claim on this site points at one of the entries below. Each carries the publisher and the date it was read, because a figure published without a date turns into a wrong figure quietly.
Where a source has a known weakness, it is written into the entry rather than left for you to find.

Read from a municipal mirror that still cites the pre-RICR rule numbers, so the form revision is old. The fee, the ten business day notice and the fire department signature all match the current section 1.15 text. Confirm the current form with the DEM UST Section before relying on the fee.

What We Deliberately Left Off
These came up during research and did not clear the bar, so they are not stated anywhere on the site as fact.
- Any Providence permit or fee for tank work beyond the fire department list. The city's Department of Inspection and Standards position was not confirmed.
- The DEM 24 hour spill numbers. They came from a summary of DEM pages that would not open, so only the UST Section number in the regulation is used.
- Whether the Rhode Island Fire Code or NFPA 31 imposes anything on aboveground residential tank removal. The code was not read.
- Any cost figure presented as ours. The ranges on this site are attributed to the companies that published them.
- Every claim about the ground conditions in a particular town beyond what is obvious from the housing stock.
One access note worth stating plainly: dem.ri.gov sits behind bot protection and would not open during research. Nothing here cites a DEM web page nobody has read.
